If you have read earlier posts, you will know that I adore the Chi Straightening Iron. That being, I'm constantly using it. That is why i got the Chi 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray.

The spray protects my hair against damage from the heat and prevents breakage. You just spray it on the stand of hair that you are about to straighten. It will sizzle when straightening over it but an Ulta employee told me that it is just "the heat evaporating so it won't damage your hair." It even keeps my hair styled for longer.

I'm a pushover for lip glosses in cute cases. Lip glosses should be fun. I just adore cute girly lip gloss cases. Urban Decay never lets me down when it comes to making their products fun. This time was no different. They created a dog tag necklace called "Commando." Slide it open and you'll find it contains two lip glosses. How cute?

My Newfound Love For Rosebud Salve

I, for one, am a sucker for lip balms. I've tried them all. I simply can't have enough. At least its an affordable addiction... I had seen Rosebud Salve everywhere and had tempted to buy it every single time but what always made me put it down was the idea of having to put my finger in sticky goop every single time I wanted to apply it. Well, eventually I bought it anyway because I was in love with its cute vintage case. I'm glad I did though because I'm now obsessed. It smells so good, and this week my lips were pretty chapped. I put some of it on before I went to sleep and in the morning my lips were perfect. I was sold. I love that its all purpose and how it feels like it hydrates my lips instantly.

Angelina In The Middle Of A Desert. What Else Is New?

I don't know about you, but I thought the cover of January Vogue with Angelina Jolie in the middle of a desert was a little over the top. I realize the woman does more humanitarian work in a day than I'll do in my life but posing in the desert is just showing off.

Despite its mint scent, which automatically makes me think of my favorite gum, Trident, I adore the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque.

I washed my face with a basic oil free cleanser before I used it, and I then spread the mask on my face. The directions said to leave it on for 15 minutes but I may of left it on for about 20 or 25. I could feel it drying up impurities in my skin. After I washed it off, it gave my face a refreshed feeling. I saw results when I woke up in the morning. It is used for people with acne, large pores, relaxes tension lines and tired muscles, but can be used by those lucky people with perfect skin. Although, I probably wouldn't recommend it to those with dry skin.

But without a doubt, I love, love, love this "minty fresh clean".

If I'm Going To Be On A Deserted Island It Might As Well Be With Silky Straight Hair

You know the question if you were on a deserted island, what would you bring? Well, after purchasing the Chi Straightener, I fell in love with it, and made it my new exotic island must-have.

It straightened my hair quicker, and made it silkier than any of those drug-store bought flat irons. I've had some pretty bad experiences with straightening irons. For example, a Conair iron I once had that completely fell apart. The handles practically fell off and were hanging by the wires. This was just after a few months of having it. So, this time around I decided I'd splurge on my new straightener. Chi Straighteners range in prices from around $85 to about $200, but are totally worth it. The Chi leaves my wavy hair, perfectly straight. I've seen fewer breaks in my hair since I've started using it, and it doesn't dry my hair out.

You won't be rescuing me from any deserted island with my hair in a frizzy, gross mess anytime soon.
